The Arkansas stone, which originated in North America, is characterized by very fine grains, high hardness and density, making it a valued material for sharpening knives. Sharpening on Arkansas stone is time-consuming, but the cutting edge retains its sharpness much longer.
Gradation 200-350 is used to repair the blade and bring out a new cutting edge. The stone is mounted in a polymer case, which contains a brass threaded insert for a guide (not included). During sharpening, the manufacturer recommends using Lansky oil.
