TheBenchmade 2730FE-2 Mini Auto Adamas is a smaller version of the Adamas tactical knife, designed by respected knifemaker Shane Sibert. The model features a Flat Earth blade finish and G10 liners in Olive Drab color.

CPM-Cruwear - new generation steel

Crucible Industries LLC's latest tool steel - CPM-Cruwear, hardened to a hardness as high as 63-65 HRC, was used for the construction of the blade. With excellent wear resistance and strength, CPM-Cruwear can be described as a steel with twice the performance of the original D2 steel.

The new formula is enriched with vanadium, tungsten and molybdenum additives, which give the steel exceptional wear resistance and allow for high hardening.

When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.

Armored head

The wide drop-point blade, 82 mm in length, is coated with a bronze Cerakote coating, which protects against minor scratches and emphasizes the tactical nature of the knife. The blade has a sturdy tip and a flat grind, which guarantees smooth cutting and easy penetration. The head at its widest point is as much as 3.5 mm thick.

The back section of the ridge is raised and transverse cutters are made on it, allowing the finger to rest steadily while working. Such parameters guarantee the functionality and durability of the knife and make it suitable for demanding tasks.

Reliable locking mechanism in Mini Auto Adamas

Benchmade's flagship mechanism, the double-sided Axis-lock, valued for its immense mechanical strength, dirt resistance and ease of use for both right- and left-handed users, is responsible for safe operation. Releasing the automatically engaging lock slider opens the blade. To further secure the knife from opening or folding, we can use an additional dorsal locking slider.

Solid handle

The Benchmade 273FE-2 Mini Adamas has Olive Drab-colored G10 plastic liners made using a precision 3D technique. The glass-epoxy laminate used is characterized by light weight, high mechanical strength, resistance to water, temperature change, as well as many acids and solvents. The contoured shape, combined with the cross-milling and rough texture of the plastic, provide excellent knife grip and comfort. The semi-open handle design makes it easy to keep the knife clean.
