Running is one of the most natural ways of human movement in space. It is characterized by repetitive movements consisting of two steps, after which the runner continues to repeat the movements of the legs, arms and torso in the same order. All major human muscle groups work while running. The following running events are practiced in athletics: running (without obstacles, in the stadium), running with obstacles (barrier running in the stadium), relay running (in the stadium).

To prevent injuries, it is advisable to train and strengthen other muscles in the body, especially the back and abdominal press. Before training, you should not forget to do warm-up exercises before each workout, and stretching exercises after each workout.
