Wool is a naturally antibacterial material. The wool is naturally natural. Contains no harmful chemicals. DesignWool uses traditional Jacquard knitting. Extremely soft 210g merino wool, also available in the WarmWool collection. The material is very durable and comfortable and provides good thermal insulation. The Marius pattern was originally designed by the Norwegian Unn Søiland in 1953. The pattern is named after the Norwegian war hero, alpine skier and actor Marius Eriksen. It was first seen on Marius Eriksen wearing a hand-knitted sweater on the cover of a craft magazine. The pattern became a top favourite, the most used pattern in Norway, and is still known as Marius. The pattern represents the sporty outdoor life and traditions typical of Norwegians. Today, the pattern is a Norwegian icon.
