Esbit - a German company that has been in existence since 1936. From the very beginning, the main and flagship product of Esbit was solid fuel, in the production of which the company became a world leader. A natural consequence was the expansion of the offer, first with cookers themselves, and then with pots, canteens, dishes, thermoses and similar camping accessories. Today, Esbit is recognized and valued mainly due to the high quality and reliability of the offered products, and its position in the solid fuel market is so high that it is often referred to as "Esbit fuel". The company's offer is used by military units, rescue services, international organizations providing aid in third world countries, as well as "ordinary" tourists, climbers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The ESBIT Food Jug 1 l dinner thermos is made of the highest quality stainless steel. To prevent accidental dropping of the thermos flask, which could happen when we hold it in a cold hand or glove, it has been covered on the outside with a special black, mat anti-slip coating. The dimensions of the thermos have also been selected so that its manipulation does not pose any difficulties. Regardless of the capacity, it also has the same diameter - it only differs in height.
As in practically all thermos flasks, its two-layer construction is responsible for maintaining the temperature.
To get the most out of its food flask, Esbit proposes to “format” the flask before use. If you plan to transport hot items - before placing them in the thermos flask, fill it with hot water for about 4 minutes, then pour out the water and place the food. The same should be done for cool items (fill the thermos with very cold water).
The undeniable advantage of the Food Jug thermos is also the placement of the safety valve on the cap. After pressing it (before opening the thermos!), We can remove the excess pressure accumulated inside (which often happens after placing hot food inside). On the one hand, it makes it easier to open the thermos, and on the other hand, it virtually eliminates the risk of burns by hot steam or an accidental "explosion" of the cap during transport. The cap itself successfully serves as a cup.
