Keeps the sleeping bag cleaner for longer, reducing the need for washing and maintaining the thermal insulation of the bag for longer. Can be used as a sleeping bag in warm conditions. In cold conditions provides extra warmth under the blanket or as an inner cover for the sleeping bag at +3C.
