Gerber Center Drive black is an innovative multitool designed for professional use, equipped with thumb pliers, a full-size blade and an enlarged screwdriver arm, the central seat of which ensures efficient work and maximum torque.
Gerber Center Drive is a unique tool, created by professionals - for professionals.
This modern multitool combines reliability, durability and advanced technical solutions into one professional tool, useful at construction sites, workshops and other activities requiring solid, uncompromising solutions.
Solid construction
Gerber Center Drive is a full-size multitool, the structure of which is based on a steel skeleton. The tools and arms have a matte black finish, giving the multitool a military feel.
The manufacturer gave up the use of lightweight aluminum, thanks to which the tool is durable and safely withstands high loads arising during prying, tightening and cutting.
The stainless steel used is resistant to corrosion and weather conditions, therefore the Gerber Center Drive can work in all conditions.
Combination pliers with X-Channel system
Comfort, speed and functionality. These words describe the operation of the pliers in the Gerber Center Drive model. All thanks to the X-Channel guide system, thanks to which the tongs work very smoothly and lightly.
Contrary to classic spring multitools, Gerber Center Drive pliers are hidden in the arms of the tool and do not interfere with the work.
Their removal does not require unfolding the entire tool, you only need to move the appropriate slider with your thumb. Such functionality provides instant access to the tool and allows it to be operated with one hand, which is particularly important in the activities of rescuers, firefighters and soldiers.
Full-size blade
The multitool uses a smooth blade 30% larger than popular models available on the market, thanks to which Center Drive can successfully replace a classic folder.
The 82 mm long drop point blade is made of tough 420HC stainless steel, which is easy to sharpen and corrosion resistant. We unfold the blade in a quick and convenient way with one hand using the thumb cut.
The liner lock is responsible for safety during work, also used to secure the screwdriver. The guiding of the blade and planing is facilitated by a polymer thumb ramp, which also acts as a hook for a rope or a paracord braid.
A full-fledged screwdriver
Gerber is particularly proud of the proprietary design of the screwdriver arm. The handle was enlarged and placed along the central axis of the tool.
This functionality increases the comfort of use and provides maximum torque, just like in the case of a classic screwdriver. The magnetic bit adapter is folded out with your thumb without having to open the entire tool.
The 81 mm arm also makes it easier to reach deeper or hard to reach screws, making the screwdriver a full-fledged tool. The liner lock, commonly used in EDC knives, protects against folding the screwdriver.
Standard bit tips
Unlike multitools from other manufacturers, the Gerber Center Drive uses standard bits that are available in regular hardware stores.
After the tip is lost or worn out, we can use a different bit, which not only reduces operating costs, but also allows you to create your own personalized set.
The set includes two bits: flat and cross.
