Description

Spyderco has long been a leader in the use of exotic blade steels. In close cooperation with Crucible® Industries, a proprietary powder metallurgical steel was therefore developed: CPM SPY27 This powder metallurgy stainless steel has vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, nitrogen as well as cobalt. This steel is produced exclusively for Spyderco and is also only used for Made in USA knives. Matching the handle is cobalt blue. The Native®, which is since 1997 in the program of Spyderco, is offered nowadays in the 5th version. It is now offered in numerous variants with different handle materials (G-10, FRN, Titanium, Carbon Fiber) and blade steels. But they all have one thing in common: It has always been proudly made in Golden (Colorado), USA.
