The Benchmade 375BK-1 Fixed Adamas is a lightweight tactical knife, designed by Shane Sibert, made of tough ultra-hard CPM-CruWear steel .
Benchmade 375BK-1 Fixed Adamas was created for uniformed services, for which reliability and durability play a key role.
Solid build
The Benchmade 375BK-1 Fixed Adamas features a full-tang (full tang) construction which means it is made from a single piece of steel.
The blade at its widest point is 4.3 mm thick. The back section of the spine was raised and transverse cutters were made on it, allowing for a stable finger support during work.
The blade has a strong point and a flat cut , which guarantees a smooth cut and easy penetration. The knife is covered with a cobalt protective coating that protects against corrosion, minor scratches and emphasizes the tactical nature of the knife. A groove has been used on the blade, which increases its stiffness and lowers the weight.
Such parameters guarantee the functionality and durability of the knives and make them suitable for demanding tasks. Full-tang knives are famous for their durability and resistance to damage, which is why they are widely used by soldiers, military, survival and bushcraft enthusiasts.
CPM-Cruwear - the newest super steel
The newest tool steel Crucible Industries LLC - CPM-Cruwear hardened to a hardness of 63-65 HRC was used for the construction of the blade. Thanks to its excellent abrasion resistance and strength, CPM-Cruwear can be described as a steel with twice the performance of the original D2 steel.
The new formula was enriched with additives of vanadium, tungsten and molybdenum, which give the steel exceptional wear resistance and allow for high hardening.
When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and ineffective.
Handle
The knife has a skeleton structure , devoid of typical claddings, which allowed for effective weight reduction and provides a flat profile. On the shank serving as a handle, transverse cutters were made in critical places, increasing the grip of the knife.
A black paracord braid is made on the spindle, which increases the comfort of use and increases the grip of the knife to the hand.
Polymer sheath
A polymer sheath with a retention adjustment system (knife drawing force) and an additional lock is used to carry the knife . The sheath is compatible with low-profile Malice clips, which allows the user to attach the knife to the MOLLE gear or carry it on a belt.
