The Benchmade 4300BK CLA is a lightweight automatic knife , featuring a CPM 154 stainless steel blade , oversized deployment button, and durable G40 laminate cladding .
American tool steel
The knife has a slender 86 mm long blade made of 154CM hard tool steel , hardened to 58-61 HRC . 154CM is a high carbon stainless steel enriched with molybdenum, therefore it can be described as the improved version of 440C.
American 154CM steel is valued for its resistance to corrosion and wear (high toughness), long maintenance of working sharpness and relative ease of sharpening.
Utility blade
The blade with a usable drop point profile is covered with a layer of black Teflon, which protects against minor scratches and emphasizes the tactical nature of the knife.
The knife has a gently marked belly of the blade and a strong point. A blade with such a profile is an excellent choice for people looking for a knife with very good cutting properties and a durable tip.
There are transverse cutters on the back section of the spine, allowing for a stable finger support during planing or precise cutting .

The enlarged release button is embedded in a milled cutout, so it does not protrude above the handle.

Discreet carrying of the knife in the pocket is possible thanks to a standard clip that can be attached on both sides of the cladding.
