Description

Zero Tolerance ZT Anso 0230 is a small "gentleman's folder" knife, combining high-quality materials with the simplicity of a classic slip-joint mechanism.

Behind the Zero Tolerance ZT Anso 0230 project is the Danish knifemaker Jens Anso, famous for its minimalistic and at the same time very functional knives.

The knife does not have a typical lock, and the unfolding of the blade requires the use of two hands, so the folder can be legally carried almost all over Europe.

Branded steel

The 66 mm long blade was made of CPM-S20V powder steel, hardened to a hardness of 59-61 HRC. CPM-S20V is a "supersteel" with parameters corresponding to Bohler M390 stainless steel.

Due to the high content of chromium and a large amount of vanadium carbides, it is characterized by exceptionally good corrosion and wear resistance, and a very long retention of sharpness.

When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and ineffective.

The sheep-foot blade has a stonewashed matte finish, which perfectly masks the scratches of the blade and reduces light reflections. The knife brand was laser-marked on the spine of the blade.

Slip-joint locking mechanism

The Zero Tolerance ZT Anso 0230 uses a slip-joint mechanism, a simple spring lock that holds the blade in place in both folded and unfolded positions.

However, unlike a typical slip joint, the Zero Tolerance uses two steel thrust balls on both sides of the blade. Such functionality causes that the blade is also locked in the partially open position.

However, due to the fact that the knife can be folded with little force, the slip-joint is not officially recognized as a typical knife lockout. This solution makes the knife safe to use and legal in most countries around the world.

Classic unfolding

The blade is unfolded with a nail cutout, a popular solution used, among others, in in pocket knives. As with traditional folding knives, opening the blade requires the use of two hands.

Elegant cladding

The ZT Anso 0230 model uses stylish cladding made of lightweight carbon fiber, a material that is extremely resistant to mechanical damage and extreme temperatures.

The element that additionally distinguishes the folder is a blue anodized backspacer, in which there is a hole for a rope or a decorative braid. Due to the elegant nature of the tool, the knife does not have a clip.
