The Kershaw Flitch 3930 is a versatile edc knife, which uses 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, a mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade, profiled FRN linings and a proven liner-lock blockade.
The Kershaw Flitch 3930 will be an excellent choice for people who are looking for a solid and durable knife for outdoor use and everyday work.
Proven steel
The 83 mm long blade is made of the popular 8Cr13MoV steel hardened to 57-59 HRC. This Chinese steel has good corrosion resistance and hardenability comparable to AUS6.
The 8Cr13MoV steel blade is perfect for everyday use, due to corrosion resistance, good sharpness and easy sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is enough.
Functional blade
The blade profile can be described as a modified drop-point version, with a strongly raised spine and a distinct toe milling. The massive 3 mm thick blade makes the knife also suitable for light field work or as a back-up of a survival knife.
Oval cuts in the blade reduce its weight and allow the blade to be unfolded with the thumb. Thanks to the use of a strong point, a concave cut and a clearly rounded cutting edge, the knife has good cutting properties, and its sharpening is a problem.
The blade has a very practical finish, the so-called stonewashed, which is done when the blade is bathed in gravel or small abrasive stones. The resulting irregular structure hides scratches and abrasions during use very well.
Comfort of use
The blade can be quickly and conveniently unfolded with one hand using a milled flipper. The operation takes place in a very natural and easy way and enables comfortable use of the knife by right and left-handed people.
Mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade
The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe support mechanism. When you press the pinball blade, the support mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade, making the knife ready for use in a fraction of a second.
Blade lock
After unfolding the blade, it is securely locked with the liner-lock mechanism. The steel blockade strip ensures a high level of security, and its operation is very intuitive and convenient. A reliable lock is an important element that calls for the functionality and safety of a folding knife.
Ergonomic grip
The knife has hard, glass-fiber reinforced nylon facings. A wide grip, deep finger cuts and fine gratings make the knife very firm and safe in the hand. Steel reinforcement inserts, to which polyamide claddings are attached, are responsible for the stiffness and strength of the knife.
The standard clip allows you to carry the knife in your pocket every day, with the possibility of fixing it in 2 positions (left / right).
