The Kershaw Coilover 1348 is a budget EDC folder from the Starter series, equipped with an 8Cr13Mov stainless steel blade, liner-lock blockade and light FRN linings.
Thanks to the combination of modern design, handy size, solid steel and functional construction, the Coilover 1348 will be perfect as an edc knife or outdoor tool.
Stainless steel
The Kershaw Coilover 1348 was designed for everyday use and light work, which is clearly emphasized by its optimal size, solid construction and typically functional style.
The 76 mm long blade is made of the popular 8Cr13MoV steel hardened to 57-59 HRC. This Chinese steel has good corrosion resistance and hardenability comparable to AUS6.
The 8Cr13MoV steel blade is perfect for everyday use, due to corrosion resistance, good sharpness and easy sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is enough.
Functional style
The slim blade with a usable drop-point profile has a uniform, matte finish using the stonewashed method (bathing in abrasive stones), which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions of the blade caused during use.
Thanks to the use of a strong point, a concave cut and a cutting edge with a gentle curvature, the knife has good cutting properties and the blade does not get stuck in the material being cut.
The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work.
Convenient unfolding
The blade can be unfolded with one hand in two ways: with a milled flipper or using a double-sided pin, thus enabling the choice of a method according to our preferences.
Both solutions are convenient for both right-handed and left-handed users, they also allow for convenient use of the knife with gloves.
Robust lock
The liner-lock lock, valued for durability and ease of use, protects against accidental folding of the blade.
Carrying clip
Discreet carrying of the knife in the pocket is possible thanks to the high-mounted clip (not transferable).
Modern handle
The handle of the knife is made of light material FRN (glass-fiber reinforced nylon). This material is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to water, temperature changes, and the action of many acids and solvents.
The profiled shape of the handle and the scaly milling make the knife very firmly in the hand, and its use is very comfortable. The handle has a hole for attaching a decorative paracord braid, which is very popular among most knife owners.
