The Kershaw Chill 3410 is a very lightweight, minimalist edc folder, designed in collaboration with the popular RJ Martin knifemaker, which has been making excellent utility knives for many years.
Proven steel
The narrow blade, 79 mm long, is made of the popular 8Cr13MoV steel hardened to 57-59 HRC. This Chinese steel has good corrosion resistance and hardenability comparable to AUS6.
The 8Cr13MoV steel blade is perfect for everyday use, due to corrosion resistance, good sharpness and easy sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is enough.
The knife has a slim blade with a usable drop-point profile, finished with the sandblasting method, which well masks small scratches and abrasions caused during use. A part of the spine of the blade (at the base) has been raised, which allows you to comfortably rest your thumb during work.
Good cutting properties and excellent penetration of the knife are due to the use of an aggressive point, high concave cut and a cutting edge with a gentle curvature.
Comfort of use
The blade can be quickly unfolded with one hand using an enlarged flipper, it is enough to press the fin vigorously and the knife is ready to work. This simple solution is convenient for both right and left-handed users, and also allows for comfortable use of the knife with gloves.
Solid and safe
After unfolding the blade, it is securely locked with the liner-lock mechanism. The steel blockade strip ensures a high level of security, and its operation is very intuitive and convenient. A reliable lock is an important element that calls for the functionality and safety of a folding knife.
Carrying clip
Discreet carrying of the knife in the pocket is possible thanks to the standard steel clip with the possibility of mounting in 2 positions (up / down).
Comfortable grip
The knife's handle is made of black G10 laminate cladding. The glass-epoxy laminate used is characterized by low weight, high mechanical strength, resistance to water, temperature changes, and the action of many acids and solvents.
The profiled shape of the handle, the undercut for the finger and fine gratings make the knife very firmly in the hand, and its use is very comfortable. The handle of the knife is slim and narrow, thanks to which everyday carrying of the knife in your pocket is practically imperceptible.
The handle has a hole for attaching a decorative paracord braid, which is very popular among most knife owners.
