The Garberg is a camp knife with a full-tang fixed blade, which means that the fixed blade is made from a single piece of steel. This design, combined with a 3.2 mm thick head, creates an uncompromising tool of great durability, thanks to which Garberg, apart from efficient cutting, can also be used for chopping wood, baring and prying.
The blade with an optimal working length (109 mm) has a usable drop-point profile and a traditional Scandinavian grinding, characterized by very good cutting properties. The flat back of the blade has a sharp edge designed to work with the flint.
Scandinavian grinding has another great advantage, its high cutting edge allows for quite instinctive sharpening, so even less experienced people can handle this process.
The blade is made of carbon steel, which provides a very aggressive cut, higher impact strength and resistance to blunting. The entire blade was covered with a DLC (diamond-like carbon) protective coating.
This diamond-like wear-resistant coating increases wear and corrosion resistance, lowers friction and provides a smoother cut.
Carbon steel provides better cutting parameters, but after use, remember to thoroughly clean the blade and preserve it with a little oil to prevent corrosion.
The handle is made of durable polyamide, resistant to weather conditions and active chemicals. The profiled shape of the grip and the checkered pattern ensure high grip and comfort of work.
A piece of a pin protrudes from the handle, which can act as an improvised hammer, glass breaker or chalk scraper. The grip does not have a typical handguard, but thanks to the appropriate profiling, there is no fear of your hand sliding onto the blade.
The knife is carried with a polymer sheath with a MOLLE assembly, which allows the knife to be attached to a belt and military equipment.
