The Benchmade 570-1 Presidio II is a modernized version of the iconic tactical knife, which uses lighter CF-Elite linings, a CPM-S30V powder steel blade and a reliable axis-lock lock.
Premium grade steel
The 94 mm long drop-point head is made of premium steel CPM-S30V hardened to a hardness of 58-60 HRC. American powder steel is valued for its resistance to corrosion, wear (high impact strength) and long maintenance of working sharpness.
When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and ineffective.
The knife has a perfectly led cutting edge, a strong point and a concave cut, which ensures aggressive cutting and good penetration. The Presidio II is handy and convenient to carry, therefore it will be perfect as an edc knife.
The blade has been satinised (polishing technique), giving the steel an elegant matte finish.
Quick disassembly
A double-sided pin is used to unfold the blade, making it easier for right and left-handed people to use the knife. The convenient location of the peg also allows for convenient use of the knife with gloves.
Safety during work
The knife uses the flagship Benchmade lock, i.e. the Axis-lock mechanism, valued for its great resistance to dynamic loads, resistance to dirt and ease of use. The strength and stiffness of the knife structure are ensured by full steel liners of increased thickness.
Light and durable linings
The knife has profiled cladding made of a special CF-Elite material (carbon fiber reinforced nylon), which is much lighter and stiffer than, for example, G10 laminate.
The grip has a contoured shape and expands at the root of the blade, thus creating a natural crossguard that prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade and provides a point of support for the fingers.
The oblique cutters and small square protrusions emphasize the tactical nature and ensure a stable grip of the knife. Discreet carrying of the knife in a pocket allows a high-mounted clip that can be moved to the other side.
