Kershaw Bel Air with CPM MagnaCut powder steel blade

The knife has a 76mm long blade, made of CPM MagnaCut super stainless steel produced with powder technology. The main difference between CPM MagnaCut steel and other stainless steels is the amount of chromium. The elimination of chromium carbides from the steel's composition has resulted in a fine microstructure, making CPM MagnaCut much easier to sharpen compared to steels with similar wear resistance.

The absence of chromium carbides has not only improved the balance of strength and wear resistance, but also its resistance to corrosion. CPM MagnaCut combines the strength of CPM-4V, the corrosion resistance of CPM-20CV, the retention of CPM-CruWear/ CPM-4V and an impressive hardness of up to 64 HRC, making it now considered one of the best steels in the world for use in factory-made knives.

The blade has a striking Black PVD finish, which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions to the blade from use.

Convenient folding of the Kershaw folder

The blade can be conveniently and quickly unfolded with one hand by means of a double-sided peg, which is convenient for both right- and left-handed people. KVT ball bearings ensure a high level of performance and smooth opening of the blade.

Robust locking mechanism in the Bel Air knife

The DuraLock lock used in the Kershaw folder, similar to the otherwise well-known Axis Lock, is double-sided. The system uses an omega-type spring and is widely considered to be very secure. The lock is placed in such a position that it can be operated comfortably with the thumb.

Aluminum linings comfort at work

The knife's handle is formed by liners made of lightweight and durable 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum in black, which provide a secure and safe grip. The handle has been coated with Cerakote protective coating.

A finger indentation in the front of the handle further enhances user safety.

Convertible clip in EDC knife

Discreetly carrying the knife in a pocket is made possible by the Deep Carry clip, which can be mounted on either side of the handle.

Next to the clip is a hole designed for attaching a decorative braided paracord, which are very popular among most knife owners.
