Solid construction
TheBenchmade 15006-1 HUNT Steep Country is a small fixed (fixed head) knife with a full tang construction.
Knives made from a piece of steel (full tang) are resistant to damage and breakage, which is why they are commonly used for heavier duty by hunters, survival and bushcraft enthusiasts and soldiers.

Premium steel in the Benchmade 15006-01 HUNT knife
Theknife has a 90mm long fixed blade, made of American CPM-S30V stainless steel. Crucible Industries' S30V powder steel is hardened to an optimal hardness of 58-60 HRC, so it maintains a high sharpness for a long time, has high mechanical strength, and is also resistant to corrosion.
Due to its high vanadium carbide content, the steel is distinguished by its high impact and wear resistance, as well as its excellent cutting properties. Therefore, due to the high hardenings and the nature of CPM-S30V steel, we recommend using diamond whetstones for sharpening.
A blade for the hunter
Thewide flat-ground blade has a distinctly rounded belly, which, combined with the utilitarian drop point profile, provides excellent cutting performance and high resistance to damage.
Cross-milling has been made on the back and front of the spine to create a stable point of support for the fingers. This simple convenience allows the knife to be handled comfortably and accurately, which is crucial for a hunter when gutting game.
The blade has a satin finish (polished) giving the knife a classic style.

Comfortable and stylish grip
The element that is responsible for the comfort of the knife is, of course, its handle. The hunting knife has dark olive-colored facings were made of Santoprene. This fully hygienic material with a rubber texture prevents the knife from slipping from the hand and provides the hunter with a firm grip.
A stable grip on the knife is guaranteed by the profiled shape of the handle and the scalloped ribbing of the dorsal part of the shank. In the back of the handle there is a hole designed for a thong or paracord.
Modern sheath
For safe carrying of the knife there is a sheath made of Boltaron, a thermoplastic material with high resistance to damage, temperature and moisture.
The bright orange color scheme makes it easier to find a knife left among the grass or undergrowth and increases our visibility during a group hunt. The sheath is compatible with the Tek-Lok mount.
