Fenix HL16 is a multi-functional headlamp with a lightweight and compact design for runners, DIYers, hunters and all outdoor enthusiasts.
Fenix HL16 - lightweight compact headlamp for runners
If you are looking for a compact and versatile light source for outdoor use, the HM16 will be an excellent choice. It's all thanks to its lightweight design, a state-of-the-art SST20 LED that emits a maximum stream of 450 lumens, easy operation with two enlarged buttons, and a detachable headband that not only wicks away sweat brilliantly, but also makes you more visible after dark.
The Fenix HL16 has a lightweight and durable body made of German PC plastic, so the flashlight is drop-proof from a height of 1.5 meters. The headlamp will meet the IP66 protection standard, which means that it is resistant to the ingress of dust, moisture and can be used even in heavy rain. Comfortable wearing of the flashlight on the head is provided by a perforated elastic band, which efficiently drains sweat to the outside, and also increases our visibility after dark, thanks to reflective inserts that effectively reflect the light of the flashlight, vehicle, etc.
The main light source is the new generation LUMINUS SST20 LED, emitting a maximum light output of 450 lumens at a distance of as much as 104 m! The neutral light color reduces eye fatigue, provides more natural color rendering and better visibility of details. The Fenix HL16 flashlight additionally uses red light (2835 diode), which is perfect for nighttime activities, because unlike white light, it does not blind the user, provides a smooth adaptation of the eyes to vision in the dark, facilitates work with maps and reduces our visibility.
Lightweight reliable flashlight for running in the woods - Fenix HL16
The user has 4 modes of white light and 2 modes of red light (steady and SOS). All operations related to the operation of the Fenix HL16, i.e. turning on, turning off and changing modes, are done using 2 enlarged buttons located on top of the flashlight. This guarantees high comfort of use and allows to operate the flashlight also with gloves. The flashlight also remembers the last used brightness level (except for Turbo mode). When turned on again, the flashlight automatically activates in that mode (memory function). During transport, the flashlight can be locked by going into the so-called lock mode. This protects against accidental activation of the light and uncontrolled depletion of the battery. The lock is activated by pressing two buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
To power the flashlight, widely available and inexpensive AAA batteries were used, which provide up to 3 hours of operation in turbo mode (total time) or up to 100 hours in economical low mode (5 lumens).
The parameters shown were obtained under laboratory conditions. AAA alkaline batteries were used during testing.
