Front shock-absorbing fork - for comfort, better grip on rough terrain, avoiding obstacles, and safer downhill descents.
The chainring is usually fully concealed under the chain guard for greater protection against dirt, staining and "dragging" of clothes while passing. The chain cover makes it less likely to need lubrication, and the commonly used internal gears make it more durable.
The saddle is wide, soft, and often with extra cushioning - for the most comfortable ride possible.
Lights are connected to the dynamo - generating light when passing, without the need to worry about additional lighting and battery.
Soft, medium-width, low-tread tires. They are narrower (and therefore faster) than mountain bike tyres and more durable than road tyres. Often with puncture protection.
Material - aluminium, the most common. Lighter than steel and stronger than carbon fibre. Used in many types of bicycles. It has the best price-weight ratio.
Internal gears - low maintenance.
V-brake - easy to replace, lightweight, inexpensive, but selecting brake pads according to the conditions of use can result in high performance.
