Gerber Gator Combo Axe II - axe with saw for bushcraft.
The forged, high-grade steel head has a PTFE-coated blade to pass smoothly through wood. On the other side, you have a hammer function for solidly hammering herring. The lightweight yet sturdy fiberglass-reinforced polyamide handle is great for dampening vibrations, and the non-slip Gator Grip (Santoprene®) grips securely even in the rain or with gloves.
Hidden in the axe handle is a full-size stainless steel saw, armed with two rows of aggressive teeth for fast cutting of branches and blocks. A magnetic locking mechanism and a rubber sheath hold the tool firmly in the handle, so nothing clanks or falls out. The saw itself features an ergonomic grip made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon and rubber to make it work quickly and comfortably.
A Velcro-locking ballistic nylon p ouch allows you to clip the kit to your belt and carry it safely. The compact size makes it easy to transport in the car, and the low weight doesn't weigh down your gear. These are thoughtful, durable tools that realistically increase your self-sufficiency on a camping trip - from starting a campfire to building a makeshift shelter.
