Historia firmy SIGG Switzerland Bottles AG rozpoczyna się w 1908 roku: Ferdinand Sigg, specjalista od obróbki metalu, po latach nauki i podróży powrócił do Szwajcarii. Wraz z przyjacielem Xaverem Küngiem założył w Biel fabrykę wyrobów aluminiowych.

Sigg i Küng połączyła ich miłość do metalu i przekonanie, że aluminium jest materiałem przyszłości.
