C100S carbon steel - maximum sharpness and work control in Morakniv outdoor knife
The blade of the knife is made of high-quality German C100S carbon steel, valued by outdoor and bushcraft enthusiasts for its excellent cutting properties and long-lasting sharpness retention. The 91mm-long, 2mm-thick blade, hardened to 58.5 HRC, provides the perfect balance between aggressive cutting ability and adequate durability during outdoor activities. The blade has been derived with a classic Scandinavian grind (Scandi grind) with an angle of about 23°, which translates into very good control during precision tasks such as planing, kindling preparation or wood carving work.
The blade design routed deep into the handle improves stability and force transmission when working close to the blade, which increases safety and comfort. Carbon steel offers exceptional cutting aggressiveness and ease of resharpening even in field conditions, e.g.with a pocket sharpener, so the knife remains ready for action on any expedition - from camping and hiking to more demanding bushcraft tasks.
Ergonomics and safety in all conditions
The handle is made entirely of durable polypropylene (PP) and is resistant to moisture, dirt and low temperatures. The ergonomic profile and pronounced hilt protect the hand from slipping on the blade, increasing safety during intensive use. A hole at the end of the handle allows you to attach a rope or paracord, making it easier to secure the knife in difficult terrain. The rigid construction translates into confidence when cutting harder materials, splitting small kindling or making minor hardware repairs.
Functional scabbard and Swedish craftsmanship
It comes with a polypropylene sheath with a practical click-lock system that securely locks the knife and prevents it from accidentally falling out. The outdoor knife is made in Mora, Sweden, based on more than 135 years of knife-making tradition, guaranteeing quality workmanship and longevity. It's a tool made to accompany you on hundreds of expeditions - from your first camping trip to demanding expeditions.
