The Civivi Baby Banter is a handy and sturdy folding knife that fits perfectly into the premise of EDC gear. The simple form, wide handle and Nitro-V steel and G10 plastic is an ergonomic combination that guarantees comfort and durability. The knife was designed by seasoned knifemaker Ben Petersen.

The Civivi Baby Banter's blade is made of Nitro-V. It is a stainless, martensitic steel with a high chromium content. The alloy was enriched with nitrogen and vanadium. This increased the hardness of the material while reducing susceptibility to corrosion. Because of the last property, Nito V is used in tools used in humid environments. The steel performs very well as a material used in the production of tactical, hunting and EDC knives. It is hardened between 58 and 60 HRC.

The knife has a blade of the widely used and proven Drop Point type. The pronounced belly, combined with a high and concave grind, makes the knife cut perfectly. A section of the blade's back is covered with the so-called upper jimping, a notch that allows the thumb to rest safely. This makes it easier to manipulate the folder, especially during work that requires greater precision and leverage. On the wedge, between the top of the handle and the cutting edge, there is a fingerchoil, which also makes it easier to operate the knife.
Stonewash
The blade was finished using the Grey Stonewash method. This means that it has been coated with a coating tinted with a gray color. The finish protects against corrosion.

The folder is equipped with ceramic ball bearings, supporting the operation of the knife's opening mechanism. The designer used a nested liner lock. This is a modification of the well-known mechanism, boiling down to embedding it on the liner.
The knife opens with a thumb stud made of titanium.

The handle of the Civivi Baby Banter is made of red colored G10 plastic. It is a composite formed from a combination of fiberglass and synthetic resin. It is characterized by light weight and high resistance to mechanical damage. The rough texture of the facings makes the knife lie securely even in a sweaty and overworked hand. The open backed design of the body makes it easy to clean and oil the knife. In the lower part of the handle you can find a hole for a rope or lanyard, in the upper part a small brand logo.

The manufacturer also took care of the possibility of convenient transportation of the knife, equipping it with a double-sided clip. It was constructed in such a way that the tool almost does not protrude from the pocket and is not conspicuous.
The folder can also be carried in a zippered nylon case. The manufacturer remembered to include a microfiber cloth to help clean the tool.
