CPM MagnaCut - the next generation steel in the Benchmade 18050 Intersect knife
The head, with a usable Drop Point profile, is 68 mm long, made of CPM MagnaCut super steel produced with powder technology. The main difference between CPM MagnaCut steel and other stainless steels is the amount of chromium. The elimination of chromium carbides from the steel's composition has resulted in a fine microstructure, making CPM MagnaCut much easier to sharpen compared to steels with similar wear resistance.
CPM MagnaCut combines the strength of CPM-4V, the corrosion resistance of CPM-20CV, the retention of CPM-CruWear/ CPM-4V and an impressive hardness of as much as 62 HRC, making it now considered one of the world's best steels used in factory-made knives.
The blade has a matte finish using the Stonewashed method (abrasive stone bath), which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions to the blade from use.
The top edge of the blade is almost entirely covered with a transverse notch, which makes it easier to maneuver the blade during precision work.
Comfortable grip of the Benchmade 18050S Intersect knife
The handle on the 18050S Intersect knife is made of Santoprene® material in deep blue. This fully hygienic rubber-textured material prevents the knife from slipping out of your hand and ensures safe operation even with a wet or dirty hand.
In the back of the ergonomically profiled handle there is a hole designed for attaching a rope or paracord, thanks to which you will secure the knife from accidental loss, while being, for example, on a boat.
For safe carrying of the knife there is an injection-molded sheath made of thermoplastic material with high resistance to damage, temperature and moisture. The sheath is equipped with a special attachment clip, which makes it easy to carry the knife in the sheath to pockets, belts, backpacks and other tourist equipment.
