Kershaw Bel Air with CPM MagnaCut powder steel blade

The knife has a 79mm long blade made of CPM MagnaCut super stainless steel produced with powder technology. The main difference between CPM MagnaCut steel and other stainless steels is the amount of chromium. The elimination of chromium carbides from the steel's composition has resulted in a fine microstructure, making CPM MagnaCut much easier to sharpen compared to steels with similar wear resistance.

The absence of chromium carbides has not only improved the balance of strength and wear resistance, but also its resistance to corrosion. CPM MagnaCut combines the strength of CPM-4V, the corrosion resistance of CPM-20CV, the retention of CPM-CruWear/ CPM-4V and an impressive hardness of as much as 64 HRC, making it now considered one of the world's best steels used in factory-made knives.

The blade has a Stonewashed finish, which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions to the blade from use.

Convenient folding of the Kershaw folder

The blade can be conveniently and quickly unfolded with one hand by means of a double-sided peg, which is convenient for both right- and left-handed people. KVT ball bearings ensure a high level of performance and smooth opening of the blade.

Robust locking mechanism in the Bel Air knife

The DuraLock lock used in the Kershaw folder, similar to the otherwise well-known Axis Lock, is double-sided. The system uses an omega-type spring and is widely considered to be very secure. The lock is placed in such a position that it can be operated comfortably with the thumb.

The handle facings are made of Micarta with a canvas texture, this guarantees a secure grip even in adverse conditions - wet hands, frost or mud. The slim design and low weight (only 74 g) make the Kershaw Bel Air perfect as an EDC - a folder that you always carry with you, but never weighs you down.

Convertible clip in EDC knife

Discreetly carrying the knife in your pocket is made possible by the Deep Carry clip, which can be mounted on either side of the handle.
