Kershaw Iridium folding knife - proven steel and Reverse Tanto head.
The knife's heads were forged from D2 steel, combining exceptionally high blunt resistance with good stainless steel. Thanks to the Reverse Tanto type blade, the Kershaw Iridium has very good penetration properties. The blade has been coated with a satin finish to reduce fine scratches.
Kershaw Iridium folding knife - thumb stud and double-sided locking mechanism
The folder can be opened with a thumb stud on both sides. The DuraLock lock, similar to the otherwise familiar Axis Lock, is also double-sided. The system uses an omega-type spring and is widely considered to be very secure. The lock is placed in such a position that it can be operated comfortably with the thumb.
